An app icon or desktop shortcut is missing, or I want to add one

You can find any installed app and pin it to your taskbar or Start menu. You can also add shortcuts to websites you use often.

Find an app and pin it

1. Press the Windows key and type the app's name.
2. Right-click it and select Pin to taskbar or Pin to Start.
3. For a desktop shortcut, drag the app from the Start menu's All apps list onto your desktop.

Add a shortcut to a website or web app

1. Open the website in Microsoft Edge.
2. Select … (Settings and more) > More tools > Pin to taskbar (or Create shortcut).

The app isn't found at all

The app may not be installed on this computer. Check Software Center (see How do I install software on my computer?). Department apps and shortcuts (for example, DevNet, STARS, or Dentrix) may need to be set up by IT. Submit a ticket with the app's name.

The shortcut opens but shows an error

Submit a ticket with a screenshot of the error. The shortcut may point to an old location.
