Most scanning problems are caused by a wrong email address, a file that's too large, or a disconnected scanner.
Scan to email: the scan never arrives
- Wait a few minutes, then check Junk Email.
- At the copier, confirm your email address is correct in the address book or when typed.
- Large scans may be blocked. Try scanning fewer pages at a time, or choose a lower resolution (for example, 200 dpi) and black-and-white.
- Ask a coworker to scan to their email from the same copier. If nobody's scans arrive, submit a ticket for that copier.
Desktop scanner isn't scanning
- Make sure the scanner is on and its USB and power cables are connected.
- Close the scanning program (or Laserfiche, CureMD, etc.), then reopen it.
- Unplug the scanner's USB cable, plug it back in, and restart your computer.
- Clean the scanner glass or rollers if scans show lines or streaks.
Need to scan into Laserfiche, CureMD, or another program?
The scanner must be set up for that program on your computer. If you have a new computer or scanner, submit a ticket with the program name.
