Once you've been given permission, you can add a coworker's calendar, a conference room calendar, or a shared mailbox to Outlook.
Open someone's calendar
- In Outlook, go to the Calendar.
- On the Home tab, select Add Calendar > From Address Book (or Open Shared Calendar).
- Type the person's or room's name, select it, and select OK.
Share your own calendar
- In Calendar, select Share Calendar (or right-click your calendar > Sharing Permissions).
- Select Add, choose the person, and pick the permission level (for example, Can view all details or Can edit).
Open a shared mailbox
- After IT grants access, close and reopen Outlook. The shared mailbox usually appears in the folder list within a few hours (up to 24 hours).
- In a browser at outlook.office.com, right-click Folders > Add shared folder or mailbox and enter the mailbox address.
Need access?
The calendar owner can share their own calendar with you. For shared mailboxes, department inboxes, and conference room calendars, submit a ticket with the mailbox or room name, the access you need, and your supervisor's approval.
