If you can't get online, first check whether it's just your device or everyone around you.
Is it just you?
Ask a coworker nearby whether their internet works. If nobody in the building can connect, it may be an outage. Call the Help Desk at (704) 283-3834 x5000.
Reconnect your device
- Click the network icon near the clock. Make sure Wi-Fi is on and Airplane mode is off.
- Select the county network (UCWPent) and select Connect.
- If you're connected but have no internet, turn Wi-Fi off, wait 10 seconds, and turn it back on.
- If you use a network cable, make sure it's firmly plugged into the computer (or dock) and the wall jack.
- Restart your computer.
Guests and personal devices
Visitors and personal devices should use the guest network (UCGuest).
Working from home
- If other devices at home can't get online either, restart your home router (unplug it for 30 seconds).
- Once you're online, connect to GlobalProtect for county resources.
