If you can't get the room display, camera, or speakers working, these steps fix most problems. For meetings that need AV setup, request help in advance.
Nothing on the screen or projector
- Make sure the TV or projector is on. Use its remote and select the correct input (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc.).
- If you're using your laptop, connect the room's HDMI or USB-C cable, then press Windows key + P and choose Duplicate.
- Unplug the cable, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in.
- If the room has its own computer, move the mouse or press a key to wake it up, and make sure it's turned on.
Room camera or speakers not working in Teams or Zoom
In the meeting's device settings, choose the room's camera, microphone, and speaker. They often have the room or brand name, instead of your laptop's built-in devices. See My microphone, speakers, headset, or camera isn't working in a meeting.
