To submit a ticket to the new Union County IT Helpdesk, navigate to helpdesk.unioncountync.gov. Or on county connect, click the link to the helpdesk.
Once you're on the new site, for best results, please click the link in the upper right-hand corner to sign in.
The helpdesk will be looking for your @unioncountync.gov Microsoft account and will need you to authenticate to log in to the new system for the first time.
On the final screen when logging in, you can choose to stay logged in, if you are working from a pc that you do not share with other co-workers, we recommend staying logged in, to save you some time.
Once you've logged in, it will return you to the main page of the helpdesk.
From here you have multiple options, depending on what you're here to achieve.
First, lets run through how to submit a new Helpdesk ticket.
In the top right corner, just to the left of your displayed name will be the Submit a request button.
Lets click on that and get started with our request.
When you begin completing your helpdesk ticket, you will see one field requesting the category of your issue. This determines what fields appear next. To better assist you, please select the most accurate option describing your issue. This will ensure the appropriate fields appear.
I'm having issues with my compass software today, so I'll select that the type of issue I'm having is "Software Support"
Now in the new drop down menus, I'll need to go ahead and fill out the problems that I'm having, to the best of my ability.
"Subject" should be a quick description of what's the issue, what equipment and who is having the problem.
"Software Needed" what is the software you're having a problem with, select from the drop down list
"Office Location" Tell us where you are when you're having the problem, if you're working remotely, please indicate that by selecting "Working Remote"
"User Department" please just let us know which department you're working for
"Description" Please give us the best information in order to best help us quickly resolve your issue.
You can attach any relevant files to the bottom of the new ticket.
